HANDS-ON TRAINING

As a new key area, our product and service portfolio includes measures to ensure low-fault production through condition-based maintenance and operator qualification. We are happy to coordinate the training needs of your employees with you and put together a customized training plan for your company.

System and process stability are essential for achieving coating properties

DIN EN ISO 9000 lists "thermal spraying" as a "special process" with specific quality assurance requirements. Full-scale and non-destructive testing is hardly possible.

Compliance with the process parameters is mandatory. Wear counteracts this. Expertise in handling and repairing the spraying equipment and torches as well as in-depth knowledge of the process are necessary for error-free production. Inappropriate assembly or use of components beyond their application limits inevitably result in changes to the process parameters, meaning that the required coating properties cannot be achieved. We are committed to counteracting this with in-depth knowledge by educating and training your team in the process and indicating avoidable sources of error.

1. Theory I

  1. Thermal spraying (basics)
  2. Thermal spraying with customer equipment (plasma, HVOF, arc, flame spraying)

2. Theory II

  1. Presentation/explanation of the components of the customer's torches
  2. Repair/maintenance of:
    ▪ customer's torches
    ▪ Powder feeders / wire feeders
    ▪ Safety equipment (gas warning device / fittings / electricity / fuel)

3. Theory III

  1. Leakage test powder hoppers, powder lines
  2. Determining powder feed rates
  3. Checking / setting
    ▪ Spray parameters
    ▪ Adjustment / shape of spray jet
    ▪ Powder injection / injectors / nozzle tip for wire
    ▪ Fuel, current, voltage, power
    ▪ Coating thicknesses / growth
    ▪ Gas flows and pressures: Plasma gases, carrier gases, fuel gases, liquid fuels, cooling water circuit.

4. Practice I

Inspection / repair / maintenance of:
