Research on plasma gas and arc characteristics of cascaded multi-electrode high power plasma generators.
The aim of this project is to gain new insights into multi-electrode high-power plasma generators. For this purpose, high-power plasma generators with three-, five- and also a prototype with six-anodes are systematically considered in cooperation with the Bundeswehruniversität München and the influence of the number of anodes on the arc properties, plasma properties and particle state variables is investigated. Such new findings are crucial to develop coating processes for the multi-electrode high power plasma generators. In addition, these findings will also inform the development of new generations of plasma generators.
