Flex-Hy

As part of the BMWI project "Flex-Hy", GTV is developing high-performance insulation coatings for applications, for example in electric mobility.

In order to be able to coat inaccessible surface areas with particularly low i and thinness, we are developing an HVOF torch that can be immersed in holes with a minimum diameter of 100 mm and is able to process suspensions for coating. In addition, technologies based on thermal spraying are being developed for joining aluminum and steel components with complex joining zone geometry. The aim is to develop lightweight construction concepts to increase energy efficiency.

Finally, the limitations of the material-to-material joining of metallic and ceramic materials are extended by the application of layers that allow the thermal expansion coefficients to be equalized or serve as solder deposits.
