Our Managing Director Dr-Ing. Klaus Nassenstein (now Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Klaus Nassenstein) received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology on November 6, 2024 as part of an academic ceremony.

The award recognizes his outstanding achievements and special contributions to science and technology - particularly in the field of innovative wear protection using thermal spraying and laser cladding - as well as his close collaboration with Chemnitz University of Technology. This was underlined by the words of welcome from the Rector of Chemnitz University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Gerd Strohmeier, as well as those of the honoree's companions and business partners: Dr. Felix Tiggemann, Head of Surface Technology, Flowserve Control GmbH Ettlingen, Dr. Roland Böcking, Managing Director of the German Welding Society (DVS), Professor Dr. Thomas Schnick, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and Werner Krömmer, Managing Director of the Thermal Spraying Association (GTS).
